About Us
WINISTRY was created by Mario McKennon and inspired by a sermon preached by Pastor Alvin L. Daniels of South Florida about having a “Winning Ministry.” What began as a song grew into a vision to create experiences where faith and entertainment come together in a positive, welcoming environment.
WINISTRY is a Christian Hip Hop & R&B experience that also welcomes Neo-Soul, Spoken Word, and other Christian creatives. Our goal is to provide Christians, families, friends, and supporters with an opportunity to enjoy great music, fellowship, and good clean fun outside of the traditional church setting.
Through our partnership with Dave & Buster’s Concord, WINISTRY is developing into a recurring Sunday evening event in the Charlotte area. We intentionally keep the lineup limited so artists can be highlighted, audiences can enjoy a quality experience, and everyone can come together around faith, music, community, and fun. Are you an independent Christian Hip Hop, R&B, Neo-Soul, Spoken Word artist, or Christian creative looking for an opportunity to perform, connect, and share your gift? We’d love to hear from you! For a $100 artist investment, you’ll receive a 12-minute performance opportunity, professional photos and video clips from your performance, reserved seating for you and your supporters, and a $10 Dave & Buster’s Power Card for games or food. Only 5 artist spots are available for each WINISTRY event to ensure every performer gets quality stage time and an opportunity to be highlighted.
